Hyderabad: Sri City- based India Metal One Steel Plate Processing (IMOP) Pvt Ltd said it has donated two classrooms equipped with desks and benches to Government Junior College in Sullurupeta. This CSR initiative, facilitated through Sri City Foundation, involved an investment of Rs 27 lakh. At the college, Taizo Iwami, Managing Director of IMOP, formally handed over the new classrooms to Principal, Shyam Kumar. Speaking at the event, Iwami expressed happiness over extending support to the college in enhancing their local educational infrastructure.

Highlighting Sri City Foundation’s role in improving the infrastructure of government educational institutions, Dr Ravindra Sannareddy, Founder and Managing Director of Sri City, commending IMOP’s contribution said: “This collaboration has brought significant improvements in facilities and enrolment rates, creating a lasting impact on the region’s educational outcomes.”

As part of its ongoing CSR efforts, over the past four years, IMOP mentioned that it has invested more than Rs 90 lakh so far, for improving educational infrastructure. Besides this, they have funded projects such as an ambulance for the Sri City Industrial Area Local Authority, a Universal Testing Machine for steel testing, three digital classrooms for S V Government Polytechnic College in Tirupati, and upgraded disaster response resources for the District Fire Department.
