Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy announced that the Rythu Bharosa scheme will now include Rs.12,000 assistance for farm laborers, a new addition not mentioned in his Independence Day speech.

Earlier, Reddy reviewed the Independence Day parade at Golconda Fort and reiterated the government’s commitment to provide Rs. 15,000 per acre to eligible farmers under the Rythu Bharosa scheme, an increase from the previous Rs. 10,000 per acre.

The government also plans to join the Fasal Bima Yojana for crop insurance, covering premiums on behalf of farmers.

Additionally, Rs. 6,098 crore was deposited into farmers' accounts on July 18 under the farm loan waiver scheme, relieving them of up to Rs. 1 lakh in debt.

The government has allocated Rs. 31,000 crore for farm loan waivers.

Regarding state finances, efforts are underway to restructure debts, and discussions with the World Bank are in progress to secure low-interest financial assistance for development.
