Ramamurthy Naidu, brother of Andhra CM Chandrababu Naidu, passes away at 72
Ramamurthy Naidu, the younger brother of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, passed away on Saturday. He was 72 years old.
Ramamurthy Naidu had been undergoing treatment for health complications and was admitted to the hospital on November 14 following a cardiac arrest. Despite efforts to stabilize him, he breathed his last at 12:45 pm.
According to the hospital bulletin, Ramamurthy Naidu was suffering from "non-communicating normal pressure hydrocephalus" (a buildup of fluid in the brain) post a ventriculoperitoneal (VP) shunt procedure. He had previously required intermittent ventilatory support due to respiratory distress. After his cardiac arrest, he was revived with cardiopulmonary resuscitation but remained hemodynamically unstable with low blood pressure and other complications. Despite all efforts, he could not recover and passed away at 12:45 pm.
Ramamurthy Naidu served as a member of the legislative assembly (MLA) representing the Chandragiri constituency in Andhra Pradesh from 1994 to 1999. His son, Nara Rohit, is a well-known actor in the Telugu film industry.
