PRASHO launches award in memory of Dr Gudlavalleti
The award will recognise one deserving young Indian neurologist or neurological researcher each year who has made a significant contribution to research in the field of neurology

Hyderabad: PRASHO (Pragyaan Sustainable Health Outcomes) Foundation announced the launch of Dr Aashrai Sai Venkat Gudlavalleti Memorial Award in Neurology, established in the memory of Dr Aashrai Gudlavalleti. The Foundation will release the details on the nomination process and eligibility criteria soon. Dr Gudlavalleti was a consultant neurologist in the state of Ohio, USA, who passed away in March 2024. This award will recognise one deserving young Indian neurologist or neurological researcher each year who has made significant contribution to research in the field of neuroepidemiology or neuroinfectious diseases. The Foundation will administer the award, while the costs will be paid by the Gudlavalleti family. The award recipient will be identified by a panel consisting of leading neurologists, researchers, and academics, according to a Prasho press release.
“This award, in memory of Dr Aashrai Gudlavalleti, will continue to inspire future generations and young researchers to pursue innovative approaches to understanding aneurological disorders and improving patient care. It has been set up to honour his commitment to improving research in neurology care and his dedication to the betterment of lives of elderly patients,” said Dr G V S Murthy, president, PRASHO Foundation.
