Pilgrimage Train Tour Package Kicks Off From TG, AP To K’taka

Hyderabad: South Star Rail, a private sector service provider under Bharat Gaurav Train of the Indian Railways and Tour Times, a tourist train service operator on Tuesday announced a special train tour package of nine-days to visit selected temples in Karnataka. The package, that begins on December 5, 2024, costs Rs 33,000 for third AC, Rs 37,000 for third AC premium, and Rs 40,000 for second AC. Tourists can board from Gudur, Nellore, Ongole, Chirala, Guntur, Nalgonda, Miryalguda, and Secunderabad in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, the service providers said adding that the itinerary includes visits to the prominent temples in Karnataka such as, Navabrindavanam, Gokarna, Murudeshwar, Kollur, Sringeri, Horanadu, Dharmasthala, Kukke Subramanya, Mysore, Srirangapatna, and Melkote.
Speaking about the services provided during the tour, the tour operators said that the package includes South Indian cuisine, without onion and garlic, the journey will be guided and handheld for senior citizens, the air-conditioned train is equipped with a variety of amenities, including public announcement systems for information about destinations and routes, entertainment facilities, CCTV cameras, and a tour manager for each coach.
