Hyderabad: Singapore-based Meinhardt Group, which is into multiple sectors including urban infrastructure, said its lawyers were evaluating the gravity of the false allegations levelled against it by BRS leaders with regard to the consultancy project related to Musi riverfront development undertaken by the Telangana government.

“The legal office and lawyers acting for the Meinhardt Group are currently evaluating the gravity of the false allegations,” the company said on X (formerly Twitter).

The company said it will take legal action if a statement of retraction/clarification is not issued. It also said it would take legal action against the media which published the allegations, if a clarification is not published immediately.

In a post on X on October 9, Krishank Manne, Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader, alleged that the Telangana government gave Musi contract to Meinhardt which has red warrant against it in Rs 3,000-cr scam in Pakistan. He also attached a red warrant notice issued by Karachi South’s 14th Civil and Judicial Magistrate against one Dr Shehzad Naseem. As per the attachment, the warrant was issued on August 25, 2021.

Meinhardt Group’s Executive Chairman’s name is Dr Shahzad Nasim. This diversified group is into building & properties, transportation, utilities infrastructure, industrial manufacturing, information technology and telecommunications.
