Hyderabad: Mahindra Group chairman Anand Mahindra on Thursday described Telangana Chief Minister Anumula Revanth Reddy as a visionary.
Speaking at the Board meeting of the newly-established Telangana Young India Skill University, for which he is chairman, Anand Mahindra said: “The decision of the Telangana government led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy to impart skill training to unemployed Telangana youth in is a great move. CM Revanth Reddy is a visionary. That’s the reason why I had accepted his request to be chairman of the university,” Mahindra explained.
Meanwhile, the CM, while speaking at the meeting, announced that the Telangana Government would allocate Rs100 crore towards the corpus fund for the skill university. He urged the industrialists to generously contribute to the corpus fund. “We need co-operation from the industry for the skill university which will make unemployed youth employable,” he said. The government officials informed industrialists at the meeting about the skill development courses to be taken up from this academic year.
Several industrialists and industry representatives including C Shekar Reddy, national vice-chairman, IGBC, Nara Brahmani, Executive Director, Heritage Foods and others attended the meeting.
