Hyderabad: There was a massive landslide in the IT corridor of Hyderabad. A big real estate company illegally grabbed 270 acres belonging to a society in Gandipet mandal. The price of these is currently estimated to be around Rs.14 thousand crores. It is reported that all this was done three years ago with the help of Rangareddy district revenue officials and an IAS officer, using errors in the Dharani portal. It is known that the real estate company set up shell companies to buy the lands and conducted financial transactions from abroad to provide them with money. A few months ago, the government was informed and a confidential investigation was conducted on this matter. At the same time, it is reported that some complained to the ED (Enforcement Directorate) in Delhi. There are allegations that a key leader of the opposition party is involved in these affairs. These are the details...
3000 people... purchase of 450 acres
450 acres of patta land near Usmansagar in Gandipet mandal of Rangareddy district was purchased by a society from Hyderabad 40 years ago from two persons. Three thousand members have also registered. After five or five years, when they applied to the revenue authorities to convert them into plots, they refused to convert the lands under 111 JV into non-agricultural lands. At this they were amazed. The members of the society approached the revenue authorities again in 2014 after the ORR and IT corridor came up around these lands. As the old answer came, they all approached the court... the verdict was in their favor.
The knot tightened with Dharani's arrival
After the previous government brought the Dharani portal five years ago, problems started for the members of the society. While converting all the lands they bought into Dharani, the revenue authorities... registered them as private patta lands. So they all remained in the name of the sellers. Moreover, as there is no option of 'Possession' (currently existing in those lands) in Dharani, the names of the members of the society did not come. As the victims pleaded that they were the rightful ones, but no one listened, they approached the court again. The investigation of the case is still going on. In the meantime those lands have been included in the POB (Prohibited) list by the revenue authorities.
Purchases rather than rummage
The representatives of a real estate company from Hyderabad visited these lands near the IT corridor. They convinced an IAS officer and some revenue officers to cooperate with them. Later, he contacted the people who sold the lands to the society members and wrote GPA for two others. Later they sold land to some shell companies from those two. On the other hand, the IAS officer removed some lands from the prohibited list. Later, the revenue officials registered them. In six months, 270 acres of land were transferred to shell companies and private individuals. It is recorded in the records that the real estate company bought 200 acres from them.
ED investigation into the affairs of shell companies
It is reported that the ED officials are currently investigating the matter in depth. It is known that funds have come into shell companies from abroad, especially from Dubai. It is reported that evidence has been gathered that the funds received from Dubai went to other shell companies and from them to the real company. It seems that an IAS officer has indirectly invested in a shell company. A key official who investigated this said to 'Inadu'... that their investigation revealed that there were irregularities in all these purchases.
