IIIT Hyd’s Smart City Living Lab features in TDSI White Paper

Hyderabad: IIIT Hyderabad said its Smart City Living Lab has been featured as one of the key case study in Telecom Standards Development Society of India’s (TDSI), White Paper released on Smart City Solutions. Smart City Living Lab has showcased the wider deployment of smart city solutions, including oneM2M and Indian Urban Data Exchange interface (IUDX).
The white paper on ‘Innovations for Sustainable Urban Living: Insights into Smart City Solutions,’ was officially launched in New Delhi during oneM2M Stakeholders Day, organised by TSDSI, India’s Telecom SDO and Type-1 partner of the global oneM2M Partnership Project. During the event, Anuradha Vattem, the lead author and Chief Technology Architect at Smart City Living Lab, recognised the support of TSDSI and other stakeholders from academia and industry who shared their perspectives.
The key findings of the white paper include smart city-specific solutions, standardisation and regulatory frameworks, existing sandbox environments and Living Labs, challenges, gaps and recommendations.
At the Stakeholders Day, Smart City Living Lab had set up a stall, where it showcased City IoT operating Platform (ctOP), and Digital Twin for Water Networks (DTWN). The ctOP is a light-weight platform built based on oneM2M standards to enhance interoperability and simplify multiple vendor integrations for smart city deployments.
Members from global oneM2M partner SDOs, DOT, ITU, TSDSI, TEC, NUDM, industry leaders and other relevant stakeholders, were present at the event.
