Hyderabad's New Railway Station Set to Open Soon: Here’s the List of Trains That Will Operate

The much-awaited construction of Charlapally Railway Station in Hyderabad has now been completed, making it the city's largest railway station in nearly 100 years. This new station, developed by South Central Railway, is designed to alleviate pressure on the existing stations in the city and provide better connectivity for passengers.

Built at a cost of Rs. 430 crores, Charlapally Railway Station spans two floors and is equipped with modern amenities to resemble an airport. The station features nine platforms, five escalators, nine lifts, and two foot-over bridges. While five platforms were already in operation, four additional platforms have been developed to handle the growing passenger traffic.

Although only minor works remain, the station is nearly ready for its official opening. The final touches are being applied, and once completed, Charlapally Railway Station will soon be open for passengers. While the inauguration date has yet to be confirmed, there is speculation that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be the one to officially open the station. Union Ministers Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay Kumar have already inspected the site.

In addition, work is underway to widen the surrounding government roads to improve access to the station. Currently, six express trains operate from Charlapally, with 12 other trains making scheduled stops at the station. South Central Railway is ready to begin running additional trains from Charlapally, though the full list of services has yet to be officially announced.
