Telangana experienced its coldest morning of the season on Monday, with minimum temperatures plummeting across multiple districts. The Telangana Development Planning Society recorded temperatures below 7 degrees Celsius in several locations, marking a significant dip compared to the previous days.

In Hyderabad, areas like Serilingampally, Rajendranagar, Gachibowli, Moulali, BHEL Factory, and Shaikpet recorded notably low temperatures. University of Hyderabad (Serilingampally) reported a minimum of 7.1 degrees Celsius, while Rajendranagar saw temperatures drop to 8.2 degrees Celsius. Shaikpet experienced 12 degrees Celsius, making it one of the coldest areas within the city limits.

Across the state, Adilabad district remained one of the coldest regions. A minimum temperature of 6 degrees Celsius was recorded at Arli (T), while Bela followed closely at 6.3 degrees Celsius. Other locations such as Boath at 6.4 degrees Celsius, Neradigonda at 6.6 degrees Celsius, and Jainad at 6.7 degrees Celsius experienced near-similar lows.

In Rangareddy district, Chandanavally reported 6.7 degrees Celsius, while Elliminedu and Mangalpalle registered 6.7 degrees Celsius and 7 degrees Celsius, respectively. Manneguda in Vikarabad and Marpalle recorded 6.8 degrees Celsius.

In addition, temperatures in Tamsi in Adilabad dropped to 6.9 degrees Celsius, and Sirgapoor in Sangareddy also recorded 6.9 degrees Celsius.

While several districts observed temperatures below 7 degrees Celsius, Hyderabad’s suburban areas like Madhapur recorded 12.8 degrees Celsius, Quthbullapur saw 13.5 degrees Celsius.

According to the TSDPS, the significant temperature drop is attributed to clear night skies and cold winds sweeping across Telangana. Northern and western districts experienced the brunt of the cold wave.

Meteorologists predict that similar weather patterns will continue over the next few days, with temperatures expected to remain low during early mornings.
