In anticipation of the Ganesh idol immersion processions from September 10 to 16, the Hyderabad Traffic Police (HTP) has imposed traffic restrictions in the city on a need-basis, from 3 PM until midnight, depending on the situation.

Specifically, traffic from Karbala Maidan will be redirected at the Sailing Club towards Kavadiguda crossroads, preventing access to Upper Tank Bund. Additionally, traffic from Punjagutta and Raj Bhavan heading towards NTR Marg and PVNR Marg will be diverted away from Khairtabad flyover, with detours towards Shadan College and Lakdi-ka-pul.

Traffic from Ambedkar Statue will be diverted at Iqbal Minar and will not be allowed towards NTR Marg. Similarly, traffic from Iqbal Minar heading towards Secunderabad will be redirected towards Katta Maisamma Temple, DBR Mills, and Kavadiguda. Traffic coming from Katta Maisamma Temple will not be permitted towards Children’s Park and will be redirected to DBR Mills and Kavadiguda. Vehicles from Musheerabad/Jabbar Complex will be diverted away from the Sailing Club, heading towards DBR Mills.

Vehicles from Minister’s Road will be redirected at Nallagutta Bridge towards Karbala and will not be allowed towards PVNR Marg. Likewise, vehicles from Buddha Bhavan will be redirected at Nallagutta Bridge towards Minister’s Road and will not be allowed towards PVNR Marg. HTP advises citizens to use alternative routes to avoid delays caused by the Ganesh idol immersion processions.

For travel assistance in case of an emergency, commuters are urged to call the traffic helpline at 9010203626.
