Hyderabad traffic advisory for Republic Day celebrations

In preparation for the Republic Day celebrations at the Parade Ground and the ‘At Home’ reception at Raj Bhavan on January 26, the Hyderabad City Police have issued a traffic advisory to manage expected congestion.

Key Traffic Restrictions:

Commuters are urged to avoid the route from Punjagutta to Green Lands, Begumpet, and Secunderabad Parade Ground between 7:30 am and 11:30 am due to heavy traffic.

The stretch from Tivoli X-roads to Plaza X-roads may be closed intermittently as needed during the event.

Other Areas Affected by Traffic Congestion:

Sangeeth X road, YMCA X road, Patny X road, SBI X road, CTO junction, Brook Bond junction, Tivoli junction, Sweekar Upakar junction, Secunderabad Club, Tadbund X road, Rasoolpura, Begumpet, Paradise, Monappa junction, and VV Statue junction.

Travel Tips:

Train and bus passengers are advised to start early to avoid delays and reach Secunderabad Railway Station or Jubilee Bus Station (Picket) in time.

Traffic Diversions (On Need Basis):

Begumpet to Sangeeth X road: Diverted at CTO Junction, taking Balamrai, Brook Bond, Tivoli, Sweekar Upakar, YMCA, and St Johns Rotary.

Traffic from Karkhana/JBS to SBI/Patny: Diverted at Sweekar Upakar towards YMCA, Clock Tower, Patny, or Tivoli-Brook Bond.

RP Road to SBI X Road: Diverted at Patny X road towards Paradise.

Sangeeth X road to Begumpet: Diverted at YMCA towards Clock Tower, Patny, Paradise, CTO Junction, Rasoolpura.

Bowenpally/Tadbund to Tivoli: Diverted at Brook Bond towards CTO Junction, Ranigunj, Tankbund.

Patny to SBH/Sweekar Upakar: Diverted towards Clock Tower-YMCA or Paradise-CTO Junction.

RTA/Trimulgherry/Karkhana to Plaza: Diverted at Tivoli to Sweekar Upakar, YMCA, Brook Bond, Balamrai, CTO Junction.

Shadan College to VV Statue: Diverted at VV Statue towards Punjagutta and Khairatabad flyover, 4 pm to 7 pm.

Raj Bhavan “At Home” Reception Traffic:

Pink Car Pass Holders: Enter through Gate-I and exit through Gate-II.

White Car Pass Holders: Enter through Gate-III and park near the New Guest House.
