According to the orders, such commercial establishments need permission from the commissioner in advance to host ticketed events and continue till 1 a.m. The official further said it is mandatory to install CCTV cameras with recording facilities at all entry and exit points as well as parking areas. The organizers should provide sufficient security personnel for traffic management and overall security.

Bars, pubs, or programs for couples should not permit minors. As per the order, no use of drugs should be allowed and organizers should be careful about parking areas and other parts where drugs could be sold clandestinely.

The order emphasizes strict compliance with decency standards in dress, dance acts, words, and gestures, with no nudity or obscenity allowed. According to Supreme Court guidelines, outdoor sound systems should be switched off by 10 p.m., and indoor sound systems are restricted to 45db till 1 p.m.

According to the Hyderabad strict guidelines for New Year celebrations, the organizers should not allow entry to the venue with any firearms, ensuring the number of tickets, coupons or passes does not exceed the capacity of the venue to avoid any troubles related to law and order.

There should be enough parking spaces in order to avoid traffic congestion. Establishments should not extend serving liquor beyond the hours prescribed by the Excise Department and provide designated drivers for safe transportation of intoxicated patrons.

The advisory also needs the establishments to show notices within their premises to warn customers about the consequences of drink-driving. It mentions that one is not supposed to drive on any blood alcohol concentration more than 30mg/100ml; offenders will then be prosecuted under Section 185 of the Motor Vehicles Act.

The advisory further says that drink-driving entails penalties which range from fines of up to Rs 10,000, suspension of the driver’s license, and even imprisonment. Moreover, the owner of the vehicle will be accountable if in case a minor is caught driving. The police highlighted the significance of driving under-limit; avoid reckless driving, over-speeding, and noise pollution.
