A case has been filed by the Petbasheerabad Police under the Cyberabad Commissionerate after unauthorised DJ music was played during a Bathukamma festival celebration at Chandra Reddy Garden in Kompally on the night of October 4.

According to the complaint from a police constable on Blue Colt duty, he and another officer discovered the event around 10 PM, where loud DJ music was being played. Upon investigation, the event manager, identified as Paryada Karthik, admitted he lacked the necessary permissions to play the music.

The police ordered the event organisers to cease the DJ music immediately. However, the music resumed shortly after the officers left, prompting the police to file a case against Karthik under Section 223 of the BNS Act for disobedience of public servant orders. This violation pertains to the regulations governing the use of loudspeakers in public spaces without police authorisation.

On the same day, Cyberabad Police released a press note reiterating that using loudspeakers in public areas without permission is prohibited. The note referenced the Hyderabad City Loudspeakers (Regulation of Use and Licensing) Rules of 1963, which mandates obtaining a valid license for loudspeaker use in public or entertainment venues.
