Hyd Excels In High-Tech Ind, Contributes 45% To GCC jobs

Hyderabad: Global Capability Centres (GCCs) have emerged as powerhouses of innovation and job creation across industries. In Hyderabad, GCCs are driving global operations by leveraging Cloud computing, Artificial Intelligence, and cybersecurity, a report said.

Based on the data collected by TeamLease Digital, the key insights reveal that High-Tech industry in Hyderabad contributes 45 per cent to the GCC headcount. The city accounts for 14 per cent of TeamLease Digital’s client base for the first two quarters of FY25, according to the finding. The tech staffing and learning solutions provider while announcing the State-wise distribution of GCCs across India for FY25, mentioned that GCCs in Hyderabad are leveraging advancements in Cloud computing, AI, Cybersecurity, Blockchain, and Data Analytics to enhance global operations. The focus on automation and emerging technologies like robotics and Blockchain underlines Hyderabad’s role as a leader in tech innovation, it added.

On the findings, Neeti Sharma, Chief Executive Officer, TeamLease Digital, said: “Between 2021 and 2023, Healthcare, BFSI, and Retail sectors recorded cumulative compound annual growth rates (CAGR) exceeding 30 per cent. The GCC Software and Internet sector maintained steady progress and is projected to reach a CAGR of 6.2 per cent by 2027.”

She further said that “As GCCs continue to evolve, we are increasingly partnering with them across Hyderabad and other locations to address their demand for niche skills, while also co-creating new job functions.”

The findings also showed Bengaluru as a prominent hub for GCCs, hosting 36 per cent of TeamLease Digital’s total client base. The Mumbai/Pune region follows closely, with 31 per cent of TeamLease Digital’s GCC partnerships. Delhi-NCR contributes 22 per cent to the overall GCC headcount.
