HPRC opens sporting facilities

Hyderabad: Several sporting facilities were officially launched at Spur International Sports Arena at the Hyderabad Polo and Riding Club (HPRC), in the city recently. The new facilities, such as HPRC, will host national and international competitions, going ahead. K Shiv Sena Reddy, recently appointed Chairman of the Sports Authority of Telangana inaugurated the gymnasium. A half the size of Olympic-sized swimming pool with German-technology filtration system was opened by Makkan Singh Raj Thakur, MLA, Peddapalli.
He said that the newly installed technical swimming pool, supervised by certified lifeguards and swimming instructors, will manage the quality of water keeping the environment healthy.
Abhilasha Bisht, ADGP Director, RBVRR TGPA, inaugurated the new block of Spur International Sports Arena. Bisht said, “This is the first time in my life that I have seen a sports facility this amazing.”
A P Jitender Reddy, Advisor to the Telangana Government on Sports Affairs, launched squash and badminton courts made of imported wood, at the facility. He said that he would request the Chief Minister to attend the International Arena Cup championship.
