Day 8 of Telangana Tunnel Collapse: Know Key Details

The rescue teams are on the lookout for the areas identified via NGRI’s Ground Probing Radar, which can look out for workers trapped under thousands of tonnes of silt. The system has identified a surface inside the collapsed SLBC tunnel in Domalapenta in Nagarkurnool district on Saturday (March 1, 2025).

The arrangements made at the tunnel site like the lining up of ambulances (at nearby Domalapenta village) and instructions laid out to forensic teams from Hyderabad to reach the tunnel site at the earliest highlights that the chances of rescue teams tracing the 8 trapped persons by evening are high.

Close to over 500 people are assisting in the rescue mission. However, no breakthrough has been achieved yet.
