Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Anumula Revanth Reddy unveiled the State’s maiden MSME policy at a special event at Shilpkala Vedika in Hyderabad here on Wednesday.

The new policy sought to link Telangana's MSME sector with industry 4.0 advancements for its integrated development, faster generation of jobs and improved output.

Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu, Deputy Chief Minister; Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Minister for IT & Industries; Jayesh Ranjan, Special Chief Secretary for Industries, and Dr G Malsur, Director of Industries, Telangana, were present on the occasion.

"We worked on the much-awaited new policy for over four months and interacted with industry bodies, industrialists, pressure groups and other stakeholders before bringing out the new policy", said Dr G Malsur, Director of Industries, Telangana,

From industry side, CII Telangana Chairman Sai Prasad, FSME president APK Reddy and others attended the event.

The Telangana government invited all stakeholders including MSME bodies, entrepreneurs in the MSME space and others for the launch event.

The Industries Department of Telangana consulted all the stakeholders including industry bodies, entrepreneurs and industrialists, and gathered inputs before developing the new policy framework. Sridhar Babu also held meetings with various stakeholders before finalising the policy.
