AINU Unveils Hypertension Clinic

Hyderabad: Observing its fourth anniversary, Asian Institute of Nephrology and Urology in Hitec City opened a hypertension clinic in the city. The facility will raise awareness on the connection between hypertension and chronic renal disease in addition to cardiology.

On the launch, Dr Deepak Ragoori, Senior Consultant - Urologist, AINU Hitec-City, said: “At the Hypertension Clinic, the high-risk population will be screened for hypertension, diagnosed early, and treated appropriately. We intend to educate people that one of the dangers of having uncontrolled hypertension is kidney damage, which most are not aware of.”

Ragoori further speaking about hypertension said that it is one such disease wherein early onset of the disease is seen. Early diagnosis and appropriate treatment will prevent it from progressing to uncontrolled hypertension which will also lead to kidney damage, he added.
