AIG Hospitals Launches Research Centre

Hyderabad: AIG Hospitals on Friday announced the launch of the Barry Marshall Research Centre for H Pylori, India’s first dedicated centre for the study and treatment of Helicobacter Pylori infections. The centre will work towards reducing H Pylori prevalence and incidence of stomach cancer in India by educating the public, encouraging early testing, and promoting treatment adherence.

Following the inauguration, Prof Marshall met India’s top gastroenterologists and researchers to discuss a tailored roadmap for managing H Pylori infections in an exclusive Round Table meeting organised at AIG Hospitals. The discussions focused on implementing best practices and developing innovative treatment protocols to address the challenge of antibiotic resistance and the unique infection profile of H Pylori in India.
