AIG Hospitals Launches Dedicated Centre For Epilepsy

Hyderabad: AIG Hospitals announced the launch of a state-of-the-art Centre for Epilepsy, on the occasion of National Epilepsy Day 2024. Followed by the launch, a Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme was organised by the Institute of Neurosciences, during which leading epilepsy specialists delivered keynote lectures and participated in panel discussions. Syed Ali Murtaza Rizvi, Principal Secretary, Revenue Department, Government of Telangana inaugurated the new Centre in the presence of PVS Raju, Vice-Chairman, AIG Hospitals and Dr GV Rao, Director, AIG Hospitals.
AIG Hospitals Centre for Epilepsy is a dedicated, multidisciplinary facility that will have neurologists, neurosurgeons, radiologists, nuclear medicine experts, psychologists, and rehabilitation specialists. The centre has advanced diagnostic technologies, including 3T MRI, Functional MRI, Video EEG facility and PET. The surgical equipments available here include Neuronavigation, intraoperative ECOG recording, intraoperative neuromonitoring, intraoperative USG, Radiofrequency ablator, Robotic arm for depth electrode placements and stereotactic ablations.
