4-Day Design Festival Underway In Hyd

Hyderabad: Design Democracy 2024, a design, art, and innovation festival is underway from October 4 to 7, 2024, at Hitex, here. Art-based product creators, architecture and interior design professionals, and people interested in designs, are attending the
art fest.
At the event, furniture collections from brands like Rosabagh, Ravish Vohra Home, and Sarita Handa, lighting displays by Shailesh Rajput Studio and Arjun Rathi, art pieces by Studio Smita Moksh and Kadari Art Gallery, are being showcased. In addition, sessions, Design Pixel - a gallery of architectural photography, and Design Democracy Spotlight, and curated series of discussions with industry leaders, are being held.
Jayesh Ranjan, Telangana Special Chief Secretary for Information Technology, Pullela Gopichand, Chief National Coach - Indian Badminton Team, Pinky Reddy - Philanthropist, Gummi Ram Reddy, Chairman and Managing Director - ARK Group, inaugurated the event, in the presence of founders Pallika Sreewastav, Shailja Patwari, and Arjun Rathi. Brand Director Mansi Negi and curator Supraja Rao were also present.
An official press release mentioned that at the event, an initiative, Design Democracy Ventures, is being held under which young product designers will be offered funding and mentorship opportunity. Design experts Mrinalini Ghadiok and Sneha Ullal Goel will be guiding them.
One of the highlight of Design Democracy 2024 is the Museum of Telangana, curated by Supraja Rao. It features works by local architects, focusing on use of brick.
