As IPL 2025 approaches, cricket star Virat Kohli opens up about his future plans beyond cricket. The ace batsman, who is gearing up for another IPL season, shared candid insights during a chat at the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) Innovation Lab. Reflecting on his illustrious career and Team India’s recent success, Kohli expressed satisfaction with the team's achievements, especially their bounce-back after a tough Australian tour.

Looking ahead to life after cricket, Kohli revealed that he might not have another tour to Australia in him. At peace with his remarkable career, the 36-year-old cricketer admitted that he was uncertain about his exact post-retirement plans but hinted at the possibility of a lot of travel. He said, "I actually don't know what I will be doing post-retirement... Maybe a lot of travelling."

The conversation also touched on the speculations surrounding the retirement of senior players like Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Ravindra Jadeja after India's victory in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. While rumors circulated, Kohli clarified that he wasn’t rushing into any decisions, praising the next generation of talent in the Indian team, including Shubman Gill, Shreyas Iyer, and KL Rahul. He added, "When you leave, you want to leave in a better position. The team is in good hands."

As Kohli approaches the twilight of his career, his focus remains on contributing to the team’s success, while the future remains full of possibilities, including exploration beyond the cricket field.
