His bidding saw competition from Chennai Super Kings, Lucknow Super Giants, and Delhi Capitals. Ultimately, RCB won the bid after a fierce battle, using an RTM card to secure him.
Jitesh will now share a dressing room with Virat Kohli, who is expected to return as captain. In 123 T20 matches, Jitesh has scored 2,566 runs with a strike rate of 149.09.
Before Punjab, he was with Mumbai Indians, but didn't play in their 2017 IPL-winning campaign.
