Hockey, wrestling, badminton, table tennis, cricket, squash, shooting, netball, and road racing have all been eliminated from the schedule for the 2026 Commonwealth Games, which will be held in Glasgow. There is a statement that has been issued by the Commonwealth Games Federation about this matter. The 2022 Games were held in Birmingham, and had a total of 19 events. However, in order to reduce expenses, it was determined that only ten would be conducted this time.
During the 2022 Commonwealth Games, India won a total of 61 medals, which earned them the fourth-place finish. It is composed of 23 bronze, 16 silver, and 22 gold. The biggest number of medals was won by the wrestlers, with twelve, and the weightlifters, with ten.
