Indian cricket star Hardik Pandya has reclaimed the No.1 spot in the ICC T20I all-rounder rankings after an impressive series against South Africa. The 31-year-old, who was ranked third before the series, surpassed England’s Liam Livingstone and Nepal’s Dipendra Singh Airee to secure the top position. This is the second time Pandya has achieved this feat, the first being after the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup earlier this year.

Pandya's notable performance in the series included an unbeaten 39 in the second match, which helped stabilize India’s innings, and economical bowling figures of 1/8 in three overs during the decisive fourth game. His contributions were instrumental in India’s 3-1 series victory.

Meanwhile, young batting sensation Tilak Varma made waves by jumping 69 places in the ICC T20I rankings to reach a career-best third position. Varma’s consistent performances throughout the series earned him the Player of the Series award, and he is now the highest-rated Indian batter, trailing only Travis Head and Phil Salt in the rankings.

The updates also saw Suryakumar Yadav slipping to fourth place, while Sanju Samson climbed 17 spots to 22nd after his stellar outings against South Africa. Among bowlers, Arshdeep Singh rose three places to achieve a career-high ninth position, thanks to his standout displays in the series.

Australia’s Adam Zampa and Nathan Ellis also made significant gains in the T20I bowlers' rankings, reflecting the dynamic nature of the updated standings.
