New Delhi: The Union government on Tuesday announced the establishment of three Centres of Excellence (CoE) for Artificial Intelligence (AI) in healthcare, agriculture, and sustainable cities.
The CoEs in AI, to be built with a total financial outlay of Rs990 crore over the period of FY 2023-24 to FY 2027-28, is aimed to further boost the start-up ecosystem in the country.
“The three AI-CoEs would emerge as temples of global public good, and also emerge as solution providers of the world. AI-CoEs will create a new generation of job creators and wealth creators and establish new paradigms of global public good,” said Dharmendra Pradhan, Union Minister for Education.
