In the early hours of Saturday, tragedy struck in Naransena, Manipur, as two CRPF personnel fell victim to an attack reportedly carried out by Kuki militants at an IRB post. Among the casualties was a sub-inspector, marking a devastating blow to security forces in the region.
The assault that took place between 12 am to 2:15 am saw militants raining down indiscriminate fire from hilltops onto the camp, resulting in fatalities and injuries. Jadav Das inspector and Aftab Das constable sustained injuries from splinter wounds, adding to the grim toll of the incident.
